Build a Theme Outfit Before the Timer Ends

Choose one idea inside the theme, match two or three colors, and finish hair before you add props.

The theme is a prompt, not a pile of every related item. Pick one readable idea, then repeat its color and shape.

A timer plan

  1. Read the winning theme once. Name a single subject, such as one animal, one decade, or one character.
  2. Equip the piece that states that subject. A centerpiece dress, tail, jacket, or hat is enough to start.
  3. Add two supporting pieces in the same two or three colors. Leave at least one solid so a pattern has room.
  4. Set hair and a face that belong to the same idea.
  5. Use the last seconds for shoes, a waist layer, and one prop. Skip the prop if the head is unfinished.
  6. On the runway, use the pose menu. A pose does not add points by itself. It shows the outfit you already built.

Layering is available on many garments: corsets over shirts, ruffles under skirts, leg warmers with boots. Toggles remove bows, puff sleeves, strings, or a bodysuit while leaving the boots. The summer wardrobe notes also mention hijabs for modest coverage without a clipped body texture.

Pro notes add a leg stack: socks, lace tights, or leg warmers under a shoe, so the avatar is not bare. Sheer tights under skirts are mentioned as a way to hide clipping during walk animations.

Examples that match published themes

These are directions, not required item lists. The community theme list is partial and ongoing.

Prompt style What to show first What to hold back
Angelcore White cloth, a halo, wings Extra colors that break the white field
Y2K Denim layers, retro headphones, a flip-phone prop A second decade mixed into the same outfit
Medieval or royalty A dressed silhouette, veil, crown Modern sneakers and unrelated prints
Bratz-style glam Bold makeup and a tight color story Every accessory in the salon
Ocean or mermaid AQUAMARINE tail, one shell or pearl accent, hair that matches A full second costume on top of the tail
Ballerina Soft shoes, a clean skirt line, tied-back hair Heavy street layers
One color, such as Night Color or pink That color on the centerpiece and a quieter second tone Every item recolored into noise

The mermaid tail recolors on the wheel and takes sparkle materials. Waist wraps, belts, and some skirts can sit over the top of the tail. It stays in the gift box after you redeem AQUAMARINE, not on the public rack.

For a character prompt, one reference is enough. Cartoon Character, cosplay, and movie themes fail when two characters are worn at once. Jungle or Animal works the same way: one animal, matching colors, not a stack of unrelated ears.

Patterns

One patterned jacket or pair of leg warmers over solid cloth reads faster than the same print on every slot. Pro voting notes say loud repeating patterns without a solid anchor get lower scores.

Item adjustment can turn a bow or beret into part of the hair shape. Use it after the colors match, not instead of a theme.

Practice without the clock

Free Play is the place to learn room layout and to test a pose on the empty runway. Competitive rounds are where hearts are awarded. A look you cannot rebuild in the last minute will not help the next lobby, because outfits are chosen again each round unless you remember the pieces and hex colors yourself.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you redeem codes in IT GIRL?

Open the settings cog on the left, above the diamond counter. Type the code exactly as published, then press Redeem. Diamonds land on the counter. Clothing and accessories land in the gift box at the lower right.

How many hearts do Pro Servers take?

The dedicated rank and Pro Server guides say 3,000 hearts. That milestone is tied to the Fashion Diva or Runway Diva title, depending on which name the lobby uses. A general how-to page still says the gate is often above 2,000 to 2,500 hearts. If Pro matchmaking is still locked after that range, keep collecting votes toward 3,000.

Can you change your face without Robux?

Yes. Preset faces at the makeup vanity are free, and those presets include a nose toggle. The 250 Robux Custom Makeup pass is only for building eyes, brows, lips, blush, and saved face slots yourself.

What are Diamonds and Hearts for?

Diamonds buy shop pieces such as the reported 2,000-Diamond Sparkles effect and the 3,500-Diamond Parasol, plus other accessories and effects. Hearts are the votes you receive on the runway. Hearts raise your rank and fill the monthly magazine. They are not the same currency.

How do you get the mermaid tail?

Redeem AQUAMARINE in all capitals, then open the gift box and equip the tail. It is not sitting on the open clothing racks. You can recolor it and add sparkle materials like other clothes.

How much is the VIP pass?

The VIP game pass is listed at 599 Robux. The catalog entry includes extra diamond rewards, VIP items, the VIP tier of the It Girl Magazine, and a VIP tag over your head. Pro podium reports say VIP is not required to place first.
